Food, Glorious Food

As the song from Oliver goes “…food, glorious food, marvellous food, fabulous food, beautiful food.”

Eating outside in a picnic setting can be a wonderful experience and good for the soul. Think fresh air, relaxation and if you’ve picked the right spot, eating with a view!

We all love to do it differently. Some of my favourite memories are making the hot chook rolls with lettuce on the picnic rug when the kids had enough of playing, and hiding the home-made muffins as their surprise after the second round of playtime.

At Picnic Cheer we believe picnic food should be stress-free and easy, whether you are on a romantic date or at a larger group gathering. We often get asked where are our go-to picnic foodie hot spots, so here it is - deliciousness at your fingertips!

Harvey Fish n Chips - yes, it sounds unusual but this fine establishment in the centre of Harvey creates grazing boxes that are very popular to all in the know! Don’t be put off by the name - you won’t be disappointed!

Harvey Cheese - find their award winning cheeses just south of Harvey. Enjoy a Cheese Tasting, then buy your favourite fromage to add to your platter. They also serve coffee, ice creams and have a gin distillery on-site!

Bunbury Farmers Market - the food store dangerously like IKEA. It is hard to walk out with just want you went in for! Avoid the rush and order platters online for pickup at the checkouts or walk in and grab your favourite fresh fruit, cake, sandwich, juice and coffee at the front of the store.

Little Spencer Bakehouse - this trending new kid on the Bunbury block offers amazing baked goods and coffees but also do a wide range of delicious catering boxes.

So that was Part 1 of the places we love.

As always remember to relax and enjoy your picnic and create some great memories together.
